Dear readers!

It is hard to believe that this August, our publication is now one year old!  This is a perfect time to say “thank you to you all for being with us every month. Much has happened during the span of one year that has made such an impact to us all. We feel an overwhelming sense of accomplishment for having paved the way towards building stronger relationships with people from different ethnic backgrounds through the wealth of information, news, entertainment, cultural events and stories that we have brought to you. We hope that our sense of multiculturalism and community spirit transcended through the pages of our magazine and strengthened your bonds with different multicultural societies as much as we have. So, come and join us in celebrating the very first anniversary of “GTA This Month” and as we continue with our journey of discovering everything else that GTA has to offer.

We promise to continue to inspire you dear readers, through our regular features, “Profile of the Month” and “Young Achiever of the Month”.  We thank the faces that have graced our covers the entire year.  We are certain that your stories have taught our readers and ourselves with something of value in life.

The most rewarding part of our monthly publication is hearing back from you. We wanted to post everyone’s feedback and comments, but since our space is very limited, we could only post a few that the team has randomly selected. However, please know that although we were not able to publish all your feedback and comments, we do value and appreciate your time and effort in sending them to us.

We are very excited to join the hype of the Beijing Olympics this August, and in our effort to give back to the community, we have tied up with CAN FUND. We encourage you all to support our Canadian athletes in any way you can. It is not yet too late to donate. Please visit www.CanadianAthletesNow.ca and go for $8 for 08-08-08 to help our own Canadian athletes achieve their dreams of becoming future models to inspire us all.  Off to Beijing this month is our “Young Achiever”.  Don’t miss his story and let’s wish him and all the Canadian athletes all the best.

Last month, we gave you an added feature called “CRIS-UINE”, which we hope you tried and enjoyed. As our publication evolves, we start fresh with our new feature on “Immigration” from our immigration expert.  As many of our readers are immigrants, this regular feature will definitely update you on immigration issues. We welcome any questions that you may have on immigration issues sent to our magazine. Also new is our “Talent of the Month” that will feature different local celebrities in their own right, from the field of arts, culture and entertainment.

Finally, I would like to thank our contributors personally, for throwing in their efforts in the research and execution of our every project.  You are all a vital part of this publication. Thank you for joining us in our purpose to inform, educate, inspire and freely give back to the community. We are especially grateful to our wonderful team who has been with us since the inception of the magazine. It seems like only yesterday when we were just brainstorming on the idea for the magazine over dinner. Your passion and creativity keeps us going. More than anything else, we express our heartfelt thanks to all our advertisers for trusting us. YOU make a big part of this publication.

A toast to the ‘GTA This Month’ team and again, thank you all for being with us every month!
