I-GENERATION CANADA Inc., a business consultancy group conducted a 3–hour seminar to prospective and practicing entrepreneurs in the Metro Toronto area on September 7 at the CRD Health Care and Business Arts College.

Addressing the  needs of small and medium businesses in choosing, setting-up, organizing and growing their businesses were: Mr. Manuel T. Lim, a Financial Planning/Economist consultant who discussed details about finding  and evaluating opportunities in the Canadian setting, business and financial planning, organizing business structures and the general taxation issues involved. Mr. Cesar Polvorosa, Jr., a Business and Economics consultant and a Strategic Planning specialist spoke about the realities of the Filipino entrepreneurs in the Canadian setting and highlighted the Strategic Planning steps needed in setting up and growing a business.  Mr. Jose “Nono” Lansang, Jr., a Microsoft –certified professional and a Certified Network Engineer, described the role of technology planning in starting and growing a business.

The seminar was presented to various groups like service providers, manufacturers, traders and professionals.

The organizing committee headed by Mr. Ray Lauro, President of I-Generation Canada, Inc and a successful IT consultant/businessman and Mr. Art Tonolete, another successful businessman, are hopeful about the far reaching impact of this activity to various start-up and existing small and medium businesses in the future. More business seminars and mentoring/consultancy activities are being organized in the coming months by this group.
